Repent and Believe the Gospel!

REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!
Jesus said,"The time is fullfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the Gospel"
The Gospel is that the Word of God became a man; Jesus, the only begotten of the Father, the Son of God, full of grace and truth, and lived in this world with every temptation that you and I face, and yet He never sinned and He gave himself to die on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. God made Him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. He was buried in a tomb, and on the third day the Father raised Him from the dead. He was seen of above 500 witnesses after He arose and He ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven. He is there right now, alive, making intercession on our behalf to the Father. He is coming again with all the saints and all the angels in great power and glory and all who live and believe in him will be united with him and thus will we ever be with the Lord. I urge you to seek Him now, during this time while the long suffering of God is waiting, for the Day of the Lord is coming soon. He loves you and He will save you to the utter most if you will put your trust in Him.

Grit and Grace

From Webster's: Grit: Stubborn courage, determination
Grace: Beauty or charm of form, movement or expression, good will, favor, the love and favor of God toward man
There is a man who is the embodiment of true grit and true grace. You may be thinking of John Wayne,
but that's not who I'm thinking of. I know a little about John Wayne, but I know much more about another man who was facing incredible torture, oppression, abuse and death in the path that was laid out for him, yet he knew it was the way he had to go, the will of his Father. So he set his face like a flint to go to that place, and to give himself to that suffering, that he might accomplish a great salvation for many people.
And here in is the grace: His Father so loved those people that he gave his only beloved son to endure this suffering for them, even unto death, that they might live and join him in his heavenly kingdom.
One thing I believe about John Wayne; near the end of his life he met this man and experienced his wonderful grace. The man of whom I speak is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and you can know Him too.Jesus said, "Come unto me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly of heart and you shall find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

Cornelius

Acts 10:1  There was a certain man in Cesarea called Cornelius.....

Cornelius was a devout man, a Roman centurion of the Italian Band, one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people and prayed to God always. God sent an angel to him who told him that his prayers and alms were come up for a memorial before God.
And he told him to send for the Apostle Peter to come and speak words to him by which he and all his household would be saved. God had regard for him because he feared Him and did righteous works, praying always and giving to His people the Jews. He loved Israel and blessed them, and, as God said to Abraham many years before, He that blesses you I will bless.

Peter came to his house and all his family and friends were gathered together to hear what he had to say to them. As Peter began to speak he said, Act 10:34 & 35,..... Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. Even though Cornelious was a gentile, he had fulfilled the conditions that God had set forth to be accepted
with Him; fearing God and working righteousness, so the Lord sent Peter to him to preach the Gospel to him and his family that they might be saved.
It is not enough to say only that God is no respecter of persons, which is absolutely true and proven through out the scriptures, or just to say,I believe in Jesus.

Act 10:42  And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is He which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.
Jesus is the judge of all mankind and He has promised many times in scripture that at the judgement , when He returns, He is going to give unto every one of us according to our works.  In vs 43 Peter said also that to Him give all the prophets witness that through His name, whosoever believes in Him shall receive remission of sins. Act 10:44 - 47:  While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?
It's not enough just to say you believe in Jesus. You must repent of all your sins and fear Him and work
righteousness. If we have evil works we must repent to Him, confessing our sins and turn from them and be cleansed by His shed blood, and be delivered to work righteousness, be washed by His Word, be filled with His Spirit, be led by His Spirit to fulfill all righteousness, and follow Jesus doing the will of the Father. Jesus said in Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
