Repent and Believe the Gospel!

REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!
Jesus said,"The time is fullfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the Gospel"
The Gospel is that the Word of God became a man; Jesus, the only begotten of the Father, the Son of God, full of grace and truth, and lived in this world with every temptation that you and I face, and yet He never sinned and He gave himself to die on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. God made Him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. He was buried in a tomb, and on the third day the Father raised Him from the dead. He was seen of above 500 witnesses after He arose and He ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven. He is there right now, alive, making intercession on our behalf to the Father. He is coming again with all the saints and all the angels in great power and glory and all who live and believe in him will be united with him and thus will we ever be with the Lord. I urge you to seek Him now, during this time while the long suffering of God is waiting, for the Day of the Lord is coming soon. He loves you and He will save you to the utter most if you will put your trust in Him.

 Is God Your Father?

Greetings in the name of Jesus! This is Rob Haymes. This is 15 Minutes with Jesus. Today’s program is called, Is God Your Father? Let’s turn to John 8:12-59, Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. The Pharisees therefore said to Him, You bear witness of Yourself; Your witness is not true. Jesus answered and said to them, Even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going; but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me. Then they said to Him, Where is Your Father? Jesus answered, You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also. These words Jesus spoke in the treasury, as He taught in the temple; and no one laid hands on Him, for His hour had not yet come. Then Jesus said to them again, I am going away, and you will seek Me, and will die in your sin. Where I go you cannot come. So the Jews said, Will He kill Himself, because He says, Where I go you cannot come? And He said to them, You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins. Then they said to Him, Who are You? And Jesus said to them, Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.

They did not understand that He spoke to them of the Father. Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and that I do nothing of Myself; but as My Father taught Me, I speak these things. And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him. As He spoke these words, many believed in Him. Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. In the King James Version it says, If you continue in My Word. They answered Him, We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, You will be made free? Jesus answered them, Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.

And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham's descendants, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you. I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have seen with your father. They answered and said to Him, Abraham is our father. Jesus said to them, If you were Abraham's children, you would do the works of Abraham. But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has told you the truth which I heard from God. Abraham did not do this. You do the deeds of your father. Then they said to Him, We were not born of fornication; we have one Father—God. Jesus said to them, If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My Word. You are of your father the Devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears God's words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God. Then the Jews answered and said to Him, Do we not say rightly that You are a Samaritan and have a demon? Jesus answered, I do not have a demon; but I honor My Father, and you dishonor Me. And I do not seek My own glory; there is One who seeks and judges. Most assuredly, I say to you, if anyone keeps My Word he shall never see death.

Then the Jews said to Him, Now we know that You have a demon! Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and You say, If anyone keeps My Word he shall never taste death. Are You greater than our father Abraham, who is dead? And the prophets are dead. Who do You make Yourself out to be? Jesus answered, If I honor Myself, My honor is nothing. It is My Father who honors Me, of whom you say that He is your God. Yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I say, I do not know Him, I shall be a liar like you; but I do know Him and keep His Word. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad. Then the Jews said to Him, You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham? Jesus said to them, Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.

Jesus said, If God were your Father, you would love Him. He said, If you love Me, keep my Words. Let’s turn to John 14:15-27, Jesus said, If you love Me, keep My commandments, and I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him. Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world? Jesus answered and said to him, If anyone loves Me, he will keep My Word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My Words; and the Word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me. These things I have spoken to you while being present with you. But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Jesus said, If a man love Me, he will keep My Words, and My Father will love him, and We will come unto him and make our abode with him. We love Jesus because He first loved us, and gave Himself for us on the Cross, to take away our sins, and to bring us into fellowship with Him and the Father.  Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father but by Me. So where are we going in this Christian way? We are going to the Father through Jesus; through His sacrifice and His cleansing Blood; through repentance and faith; through continuing in His Word; being washed and delivered from every lie; being conformed to Jesus’ image to become sons and daughters of the Living God! Our Father who is in Heaven: hallowed is His name! Rom 12:1&2, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Are we doing this?

Let’s turn to 1 Peter 1:13-25, Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, Be holy, for I Am holy. And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear; knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God.  Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever, because All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and it’s flower falls away, but the Word of the Lord endures forever.  Now this is the Word which by the Gospel was preached to you.  Verse 17, If you call on the Father, who without partiality, judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear. Do you fear God? Are you fearing God? Are you afraid to disobey Him? Are you afraid to displease Him?

Let’s turn to 1 John 3:1-10, Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever abides in Him does not sin, or, does not practice sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins, or practices sin, is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not practice sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is he who does not love his brother. For this is the message that you heard from the beginning, that we should love one another. Every man who has this hope in him, purifies himself, even as He is pure. If we have the blessed hope of attaining to the resurrection from the dead; to the first resurrection, we will be seeking to purify ourselves, even as Jesus is pure. We will not be continuing in sin. He that practices sin is of the Devil. That’s what Jesus meant when He told the Pharisees , Your Father is the Devil, and you do the works of your father. If God is our Father, we will do His works. We, as little children, will humble ourselves in repentance, and faith in Jesus’ sacrifice for us, to do the things that we see Him doing, as He leads us by His Spirit every day. Jesus said, If any man will be My disciple,  he must deny himself every day, and take up his cross and follow Me. Do you do this? Do you start your day in prayer and the Word of God, denying yourself and your plans; your desires, laying them down before Him? Do you seek to take up your cross: the will of the Father for you, every day? Are you seeking to be led by the Holy Spirit every day? The Holy Spirit is given to us who obey Him, that He might teach us His Word, and lead us in doing it every day, in every situation. Do you build yourself up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit? Are you keeping yourself in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life? Are you always abounding in the work of the Lord that He has for you? Are you doing good, or are you doing evil? Remember, Jesus said, in Mat 7:21-23, Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in Heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name? And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!

Jesus also said, Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.

 On The Third Day

Greetings in the name of Jesus! This is Rob Haymes. This is 15 Minutes With Jesus. Today’s program is called On The Third Day. Before we start I just want to thank every person that is listening and every person that is reading this: God bless you. I thank God for you. I want to give a special thankyou to every person that has been praying for my wife Darlene and I, as Satan has attacked us big time over the past couple of weeks with afflictions in our bodies. And I was so sick that I could not do a program last week. Satan had me shut down. I hated it, and then this week, as you may know, I was not able to do a program yesterday on Saturday. I did not have a message, and I didn’t have the strength to do it. I was sitting at my desk, and I had nothing; nothing. I was completely shut down. But, long about midnight last night, God began to strengthen me in my body, and I woke up and I began to repent for not warring a good warfare as I should have been. I had been overpowered by feelings of sickness and different afflictions in my body. So I repented and began to pray. I prayed for over and hour in tongues and in English, and the Holy Spirit led me in some warfare. I must have overcome, because at 3:30 am I was laying in bed and as I began to wake up I heard the words “On The Third Day”. Then I heard it again, “On The Third Day”. Then I thought, Lord are you talking to me? “On The Third Day” And, it was Jesus, and He was giving me this program, right then, at 3:30 in the morning! So, let’s jump into it! This program came with a lot of joy, I’m telling you! This has been an interesting two weeks! And, we have victory, because of what happened on that third day! We have the victory! Jesus Christ won the victory over all the powers of darkness; over all sickness; over all pain and suffering, torment and sorrow! Jesus Christ took it all on and overcame it, on the Cross, and when He rose from the dead He overcame it all! He came out of the heart of the earth! He came out; He was raised from the dead on the third day, hallelujah!; He triumphed over it all! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!; over all powers; over all principalities, and all dominions, and every name that is named! Hallelujah!

Let’s turn to Mark 10:32-34, Thank God! Now they were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them; and they were amazed. And as they followed they were afraid. Then He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them the things that would happen to Him: Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and deliver Him to the Gentiles; and they will mock Him, and scourge Him, and spit on Him, and kill Him. And the third day He will rise again. Let’s turn to Luke 9:18-26, Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus! Amen!  And it happened, as He was alone praying, that His disciples joined Him, and He asked them, saying, Who do the crowds say that I am? So they answered and said, John the Baptist, but some say Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets has risen again. He said to them, But who do you say that I am? Peter answered and said, The Christ of God. And He strictly warned and commanded them to tell this to no one, saying, The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day. Then He said to them all, If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? For whoever is ashamed of Me and My Words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the holy angels.

Let’s read Psalm 88. I believe this is about Jesus in the heart of the Earth.  O Lord, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You. Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry. For my soul is full of troubles, and my life draws near to the grave. I am counted with those who go down to the pit; I am like a man who has no strength, adrift among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom You remember no more, and who are cut off from Your hand. You have laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the depths. Your wrath lies heavy upon me, and You have afflicted me with all Your waves. You have put away my acquaintances far from me; You have made me an abomination to them; I am shut up, and I cannot get out; My eye wastes away because of affliction. Lord, I have called daily upon You; I have stretched out my hands to You.

Will You work wonders for the dead?  Shall the dead arise and praise You?  Shall Your lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or Your faithfulness in the place of destruction?  Shall Your wonders be known in the dark? and Your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?  But to You I have cried out, O Lord, and in the morning my prayer comes before You.  Lord, why do You cast off my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me? I have been afflicted and ready to die from my youth; I suffer Your terrors; I am distraught. Your fierce wrath has gone over me; Your terrors have cut me off. They came around me all day long like water; They engulfed me altogether. Loved one and friend You have put far from me, And my acquaintances into darkness.

Now let’s read Psalm 30. Hallelujah! I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up, and have not let my foes rejoice over me. O Lord my God, I cried out to You, and You healed me. O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave; You have kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit. Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the remembrance of His Holy Name. For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life;  Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!   That’s what happened to me this morning! Joy came in the morning!   Now in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved. Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong; You hid Your face, and I was troubled. I cried out to You, O Lord; and to the Lord I made supplication: What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise You? Will it declare Your truth? Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper! You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, To the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever. Hos 6:1-3, Come, and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.  Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the earth. When the Father raised Jesus from the dead, He raised us with Him! After two days He will revive us. On the third day He will raise us up!

Let’s turn to 1 Cor 15:1-26, Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.

Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, and we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not rise. For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable. But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive.

But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.

Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus! You can see here that, as we read in Hosea chapter 6, when the Father raised Jesus from the dead, He raised us with Him! Hallelujah! Thank you Lord! Praise God Almighty! This has yet to be fulfilled: when Jesus returns in the clouds, it will be fulfilled!  He is the first fruits, Christ, risen from the dead; afterwards, they that are Christ’s at His coming, and that’s when we will be glorified.

As we read in the scriptures, Jesus died for our sins. He came to take away our sins. All the sins of the whole human race were laid on Him. Because He lived as a man, tempted in every way as we are, and yet without sin, He became the Spotless Lamb of God, and all our sins were laid on Him, and He carried them all away. It is written in Isaiah 53:4&5, Surely He has borne our sicknesses and carried our pains; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. All our sins and all of their consequences were laid on Jesus on the Cross. That’s when the Father had to separate Himself from His Beloved Son, for the first time in all eternity. That’s when Jesus cried out, “My God, My God, why have you forsaken Me?” He suffered all of that for us because the Father loves us, and He gave His Beloved Son to save us from our destructions. Jesus died on that Cross for all our sins. The wages of sin is death. His dead body was placed in the tomb, and His soul and His Spirit descended into the heart of the Earth, where He was shut up for three days and three nights. There He cried out to God, and He was heard in that He feared.

Remember, God made Him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. Jesus went to Hades because all our sin was upon Him, yet He believed the Gospel while He was there. He believed what He had been teaching His disciples: that on the third day He was going to rise again from the dead. And on the morning of the third day, the Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, raised His body from the dead! The full ransom had been paid, and Jesus came out of that grave in His glorified, resurrected body, justified completely from all our sins that were laid on Him. And when the Father raised Jesus from the dead, He raised us with Him; it hasn’t been fulfilled yet, but it took place right then; justified completely from all sin and unrighteousness; washed in His precious Blood, Hallelujah!, that whosoever will repent and believe on Him, confessing Him Lord, and believing that God raised Him from the dead, shall be saved: saved from sickness; saved from all the powers of darkness that have had us bound; saved from lies into the truth; saved from darkness into His marvelous light, and saved from death into eternal life with Him in His glorious Kingdom.

1 Cor 15:50-58, Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed—in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: Death is swallowed up in victory! O death where is your sting? O hades, where is your victory? The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ! Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

 The Good Fight Of Faith

Greetings in the name of Jesus! This is Rob Haymes. This is 15 Minutes With Jesus. Today’s program is called The Good Fight Of Faith. I want to start off with a prayer. Let’s pray together: Father, in Jesus’ name, I take authority over all unbelief, all fear, all doubt, all rebellion, all pride; I take authority over these powers that would stop this message from being heard. Give us ears to hear and hearts to receive what the Spirit of the Lord is saying, in Jesus’ name. Amen!  God bless every one of you! We are in a war! I know you’ve heard that before, but we must fight! This morning the Father encouraged me to fight the good fight of faith, and He sent me to encourage you! I’m already greatly encouraged: I just did some warfare and put off things that were oppressing me. One thing I want to share with you which many of you have probably experienced: You are in prayer, or you wake up from a dream, and all of a sudden you are in guilt. Satan is bringing something to your mind: a sin that you were involved in in the past that you have already repented of, and he brings it up, including all kinds of different scenes of things you did wrong, and you start feeling guilty. What’s going on? Satan is seducing your faith. If he can get you in guilt, and you start feeling guilty, first of all you are in unbelief, and you’re in guilt; you’re not believing what Jesus did for you on the Cross. So what do you do? You have to repent; just say, Father forgive me, and then just speak the truth: that you were forgiven; you repented of that sin, whenever it was, you confessed your sin, and God forgave you, and He cleansed you with the precious Blood of His Son! You’ve been washed white as snow, as it says in Isaiah, Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow! Remind the Devil. Tell him the truth. Speak your testimony of what God has done for you through the sacrifice of His Son! Jesus died for our sins; He was crucified!, and on the third day, the Father raised Him from the dead! He was crucified for our sins and raised again for our justification! We are justified in Jesus! Hallelujah!

Let’s turn to 1 Tim 6:3-16,  If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine according to godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.

But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. I urge you in the sight of God who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus who witnessed the good confession before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord Jesus Christ's appearing, which He will manifest in His own time, He who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen. Verses 11&12, But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called… This is a good fight!, and it is also a fight of faith. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God! Our weapons to fight this fight are mighty through God! We must receive the Holy Spirit! Many of you, perhaps, that are listening or reading this: you’ve been told that you have the Holy Spirit, but you’ve been lied to. You have not been baptized in the Holy Spirit, with evidence of speaking in other tongues. If you have a controversy with speaking in tongues, you’ve missed the bus! Speaking in other tongues is the beginning; it’s extremely important that you yield your tongue to the Holy Spirit; that you be filled with the Spirit! Speaking in tongues is evidence that a person has received the Holy Spirit, but speaking in tongues and praying in tongues; praying in the Holy Spirit is extremely important! You need to be able to do that. You need to humble yourself and read the Word of God; do a word search and read the scriptures about it. It is very important! There is no condemnation, but many of you have been told you received the Holy Spirit when you were baptized in water, or you got the Holy Spirit when you were born again. Actually that’s true: when you received Jesus He came into your heart by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is in you and you are in Him, but you need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit; you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Do you understand what I am talking about? This is a blessing! And this is something you need as a Christian! You cannot do these things without the Holy Spirit.

Let’s turn to 2 Cor 10:1-6, Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ—who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you. But I beg you that when I am present I may not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. You cannot do these things in the flesh; only through the power of the Holy Spirit. These things are where Satan works: strongholds, imaginations, high things exalting themselves against the knowledge of God, disobedient thoughts, ungodly thoughts, thoughts of unbelief or guilt. God has given us weapons which are mighty through God to fight the good fight of faith. You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit in order to make use of these weapons, because they are mighty through Him: The exceeding greatness of His mighty power which He worked in Jesus when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand, far above all principality and power and might, and every name that is named! Let’s go there: Eph 1:15-23, Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers:  that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, (that’s what we need!) the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. The Holy Spirit knows what is going on on the battlefield, and He will lead you in the fight, otherwise you will be overcome, and you must have the whole armor of God on you to fight effectively to win the battle.

Eph 6:10-18, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit… The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Stand up! Use your faith! Repent of your unbelief and rebellion, put on your armor, and get in the fight! Take back the land that the enemy has taken from you! Jesus is the Lord of the warfare, and He leads us by His Spirit in the fight of faith. Notice: It is a fight of faith, faith in His sacrifice for our sins on the Cross; His shed Blood cleansing us from all sin, making us righteous in His sight. His resurrection from the dead justifies us before our God; His total defeat of the enemy! Col 2:13-15, And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to His Cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. Jesus triumphed over all principalities and powers of darkness, and made an open show of them. Our victory is in Him! When we come in His name, in His righteousness, in faith and obedience, we will triumph also. The devils believe and tremble at His name spoken in righteousness and faith in the power of the Holy Spirit. One of the Devil’s main methods is to get you in sin, and try to keep you there, in unconfessed sin, and tell you, “It’s ok, you haven’t sinned, you’re in faith, or, you’re under grace, everything is fine, all your sins are forgiven, past, present , and future: that’s a lie! Don’t believe those lies! If you have sinned, come before God! There’s no condemnation. Confess your  sin; turn from it!, so that you may have righteousness! The Blood of Jesus will cleanse you, and you will walk on in righteousness: you’re righteous before God. That’s what God wants! Satan wants to get you in unrighteousness and keep you there; get you under guilt and keep you there, because that way you are ineffective; you can’t do anything; you can’t fight this fight.  If you are in Christ, He is in you and  you have the victory in Him! Keep praying! Keep fighting! Keep believing! If you faint, repent! Get back on your feet and stand in your testimony of what Jesus has done for you on the Cross, and through His resurrection, and faith in His shed Blood, which, when you repent, washes you white as snow! You stand justified before Him, and cleansed, walking on with a conscience void of offense toward God and man. If God shows you any offense, deal with it, and believe His Word. Deal with it truly, according to His Word. If you have repented from your heart, God has forgiven you and cleansed you by the Blood of Christ. They overcame him by the Blood of the Lamb, and the word of their testimony. They overcame the Devil by the Blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.
