Prayers Answered

Greetings in the name of Jesus. This is Rob Haymes. This is 15 Minutes With Jesus. Jesus said, Wherever two or three are gathered together in My name, there am I in the midst of them. To those of you who love Him in truth: mercy unto you and peace and love be multiplied. (Jude 1:2)

Thank you Father; in Jesus’ name, we thank you for this day; thank you Lord for this program that you have given me for your people. Give us all grace to hear what you are saying by your Holy Spirit, and to understand. In Jesus’ name I pray, Father, Amen.

Today’s program is called, Prayers Answered. First of all, we are going to see who God is; what He said about Himself. So, let’s turn to Ex 34:5, Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, (Moses), and proclaimed the name of the Lord. And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation. The first thing He told Moses is that He is merciful; He keeps mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sin, but by no means will He clear the guilty. 1 John 1:9 says, If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So when we come to the Father in Jesus’ name and confess our sins, He is faithful, for Jesus’ sake, to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, through our faith in His sacrifice of Himself and His shed Blood. Only through His sacrifice and the atonement of His shed Blood are we forgiven, when we repent and believe this Gospel; when we do this in faith; in humility; in true repentance to God. His mercy is abundant and He forgives our transgressions, and we are cleansed of all guilt before Him. If we do not believe in Jesus and His sacrifice for us; if we will not repent and confess our sin to God, we are guilty and God will not clear us. In fact, He will visit our sins upon our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren, unto the fourth generation. He does not change. 

This is who He is; if we refuse to repent and come to Jesus, we will die in our sins.

So, the first thing we need to consider, regarding prayer, is who God is, the one we are praying to, and what He requires of us. If we are guilty of sin, and we will not repent, He will not clear us, and He will not grant us grace; our prayer will not be answered. So before you pray, consider who He is and what He requires of you and humble yourself before Him. If the Holy Spirit shows you a sin, confess it to God, believing His Word; believing the sacrifice of His Son: that He forgives you in the Blood of His Son, and you are not guilty any more. Your conscience is clear; void of offense toward God and man. You are not guilty, and don’t let the devil or anyone else, including yourself, convince you otherwise. A major method of the devil is to make you feel guilty when you are not. Don’t yield to him; resist him. That is unbelief. Repent and believe what God has done and move on with Him. If Satan can get you in guilt, he has seduced your faith, and, unless you pray in faith, your prayer will not be answered. James said, A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:5, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. In Heb 4:15 we read, For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. God’s throne is the throne of grace. God gave His Son, and He will grant us grace through Him because of His sacrifice of Himself upon the Cross for us.

Let’s consider some other scriptures on prayer. 1 John 5:14, Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. If we want God to hear our prayers, we must pray according to His will. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. Believe and doubt not. John 14:13, And whatever you ask in My name, (faith in His name), that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If we are praying anything according to His will it will be that the Father may be glorified in His Son. Is that our desire? Is that in our hearts? Or, are we seeking our own desire; our own glory. Jesus said in John 15:7, If you abide in Me, and My Words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full. This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one's life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. 

So, if we are loving others as Jesus has loved us, we are abiding in Him, keeping His Words, and whatever we ask will be according to His will; His love, and we will have what we ask. It shall be done, if we don’t faint; if we keep on believing Him and seeking Him. Through His love; abiding in Him, and His Word abiding in us, we shall go and bring forth fruit, and our fruit shall remain, as we abide in Him, and whatever we ask of the Father in His name, He will give it to us. Jesus said, He that seeks the glory of Him that sent him, the same is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him. Are we seeking God’s glory, for Him to be glorified, or are we seeking our own glory?

In John 14:12, Jesus said, Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. It is Jesus who does the work through us, that His Father may be glorified. If we want the glory, He won’t work. We are not abiding in His love. If we will truly seek to glorify our Father in Heaven, through abiding in Jesus; keeping His Words, and loving one another, He will move through us. When we pray, we won’t be asking amiss, for selfish things, but we will be praying according to His will; according to His love.

Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Spend time reading and meditating in the Word of God every day, not as a religious exercise, but with all humility, yielding to the Holy Spirit, as He teaches you and gives you understanding, truly seeking revelation and understanding, especially that you may know God and His Son Jesus Christ. Faith works by love. So, as you learn of Him, seek to obey Him and keep His commandments: the Words of Jesus. He said, that if we love Him, we will keep His commandments. The Apostle John said, For this is the love of God, that we walk after His commandments, and His commandments are not burdensome. Don’t believe the lie that you can’t keep His Words. When you walk into a situation, such as forgiving and loving an enemy of yours, you can ask Jesus for grace to help you to obey His
Words, and you will find grace to help in the time of need. God’s throne is the throne of grace: the place where He gave His Son, where He sent Him from, to come here and live as a man, tempted in every way, and to overcome all sin, the world and the devil, and to give His flesh on the Cross of Calvary for the life of the world. We love Him because He first loved us. Come boldly to the throne of grace, that you may find grace to help in the time of need. You see, if you come boldly to God in faith, He will respond.

Build yourself up on your most holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit, in your native language and in tongues; with the understanding, and in the Spirit also. Jude 1:20, But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. You need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, so you can pray in tongues, in the Spirit, and in your language, as the Holy Spirit will lead you in intercession, for yourself and for others, and you will build yourself up thereby on your most holy faith, to believe the Word of God; to pray according to His will, and to receive the answer to your prayers! Hallelujah!

This is the truth of God’s Word. If you will believe it and obey it, God will work in your life. Don’t believe the lies any more: that you don’t need to be baptized in the Holy Spirit; that you don’t need to speak in tongues; that tongues have ceased. The Holy Spirit is a wonderful gift of God to you. Jesus said, I’m going away to be with the Father, but I won’t leave you alone, but I will send another Comforter that He may be with you forever. You need Him; His comfort; His exhortation, and His edification. You need to be filled with the Holy Spirit and walk in love. Faith works by love. If you have hatred towards someone; if you won’t forgive; if you won’t humble yourself and forsake your pride and your rebellion, you are in darkness, and you can pray in tongues all day long, but it will not be effectual.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much: a man or a woman who loves Jesus and the Father, and keeps their Words. Thank you Father.

Prophecy:

I am God Almighty. Those of you listening to My servant Rob this day, humble yourselves before Me; pray according to My Word, and I will respond; I will answer you, when you pray in faith according to My Word, says the Lord. Trust in Me, for I love you; it is My desire to answer your prayers as you pray according to My will; according to My Word, says the Lord.

 Faith In His Name

Thank you Father, in Jesus’ name! Thank you Father for this day, Hallelujah! Thank you Father for this program. Thank you Father; I pray that you would minister to many hearts; that you would give us all ears to hear and hearts to receive what the Holy Spirit is speaking, Amen.

Today’s program is called, Faith In His Name. Let’s turn to Acts 3:1,  Now Peter and John went up together to the Temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the Temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the Temple; who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the Temple, asked for alms. And fixing his eyes on him, with John, Peter said, Look at us. So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God. And all the people saw him walking and praising God. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him. Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, greatly amazed. So when Peter saw it, he responded to the people: Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk? The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 

Let’s go to Acts 4:8, Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the Stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief Corner Stone. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under Heaven given among men by which we must be saved. 

Php 2:5, Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in Heaven, and of those on Earth, and of those under the Earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. 

Jesus said in John 14:12, Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. 

Let’s go to Eph 1:15, Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the Church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. 

Hos 6:1, Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight. Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, like the latter and former rain to the Earth. Isn’t this good people! What a joy!: The Word of God and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God. Hallelujah!  

Eph 2:4, But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, That is where we are! That is where we are! Those of us who believe in Jesus; who have faith in Him; who have confessed our sins; who have repented and believed the Gospel, and been crucified with Him, through water baptism, and raised with Him, and are seated with Him at the Father’s right hand, in the heavenly places, far above all principality, power and dominion, and every name that is named: we are there in Him! We must simply believe!; believe what the scripture says; believe what has been accomplished through the Gospel; through the resurrection of Jesus! Thank you Lord! 

Rom 10:8 But what does it say? The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the Word of faith which we preach: that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 

In Philippians 2, we read that the Father has highly exalted Jesus, and given Him a name above every name, in Heaven, on the Earth, and under the Earth. In Ephesians 1, we read, He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand, far above every power and principality and every name that is named!

We don’t just speak the name of Jesus; many people are speaking the name of Jesus. It is speaking His name in faith: faith in who He is, and in what the Father has done in him and through Him. When Jesus was on His way to Jairus’ house to raise his daughter from the dead, many, many people were thronging Him and touching Him, hoping to be healed of their diseases. But there was a woman, who came up behind Him, and she said in her heart, If I can just touch the hem of His garment, I shall be healed! She had faith in Him, and when she touched His garment, virtue went out of Him and immediately she was healed of her plague!  When we speak His name in faith in all that the Father has done in Him, and we refuse to doubt; if we continue in faith, believing the report in Isaiah 53: By His stripes we are healed; He has taken our sicknesses and carried our pains, we shall be delivered; we shall be healed. The prayer of faith, not just speaking His name, but faith in His name, will save the sick, and if they have committed any sins, they shall be forgiven. If you start to faint and fall into doubt, just stop and repent and acknowledge it to God, and get back to believing!: Lord, I believe, forgive and help my unbelief !  

One day, several years ago, I was speaking with a friend of mine about going to Israel. We were speaking many things about going to Israel. And at that time the Lord spoke to me and He told me, I’m sending you to Israel. I believed Him, and I kept on believing Him. I had no money to go to Israel. After a while, I stopped believing; I wasn’t believing Him about going to Israel, and one night, in my office, I humbled myself, and I prayed a prayer of repentance: I told Him, Father, forgive me, I’ve quit believing; I ask you to forgive me. From this night on I’m going to believe what you spoke to me: You are sending me to Israel! Immediately I had two charley horses, very strong; very painful, in my legs, courtesy of you know who, and I was in pain, but I determined that I was going to keep believing Him. And I kept on believing Him, and one night I was in a restaurant with a friend of mine, and they said to me, I believe it’s God’s will for me to pay your way to Israel, and they said, Do you think that’s God? I was overwhelmed, and I said, Yes I do, and, needless to say, God brought me to Israel, with a dear friend of mine. So, what a joy to believe God! So, as I’m saying, if you faint, if you quit believing, there’s no condemnation, come to the Lord and say, Lord I believe; help my unbelief !

 Ungodly Alliance

Amen Father! We just praise you and thank you for this day. Thank you Father; you are the God of all flesh; every knee shall bow to the name of your Son Jesus and every tongue shall confess that He is Lord! to your glory Father, in Jesus’ name. Lord, bless this program; bless everyone reading Father, I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen. 

Today’s program is called Ungodly Alliance. Let’s turn to 1 Kings 16:29, In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri became king over Israel; and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years. Now Ahab the son of Omri did evil in the sight of the Lord, more than all who were before him. 

And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians; and he went and served Baal and worshiped him. Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. 1 Kings 21:25, But there was no one like Ahab who sold himself to do wickedness in the sight of the Lord, because Jezebel his wife stirred him up. And he behaved very abominably in following idols, according to all that the Amorites had done, whom the Lord had cast out before the children of Israel. 

2 Chr 17:3, Now the Lord was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the former ways of his father David; he did not seek the Baals, but sought the God of his father, and walked in His commandments and not according to the acts of Israel. Therefore the Lord established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah gave presents to Jehoshaphat, and he had riches and honor in abundance. And his heart took delight in the ways of the Lord; moreover he removed the high places and wooden images from Judah. 

Chapter 18, verse 1, Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance; and by marriage he allied himself with Ahab. After some years he went down to visit Ahab in Samaria; and Ahab killed sheep and oxen in abundance for him and the people who were with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramoth Gilead. So Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Will you go with me against Ramoth Gilead? And he answered him, I am as you are, and my people as your people; we will be with you in the war. Also Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Please inquire for the Word of the Lord today. Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain? So they said, Go up, for God will deliver it into the king's hand. But Jehoshaphat said, Is there not still a prophet of the Lord here, that we may inquire of Him? So the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is still one man by whom we may inquire of the Lord; but I hate him, because he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil. He is Micaiah the son of Imla. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say such things! Then the king of Israel called one of his officers and said, Bring Micaiah the son of Imla quickly! Verse 14, Then he came to the king; and the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go to war against Ramoth Gilead, or shall I refrain? And he said, Go and prosper, and they shall be delivered into your hand! So the king said to him, How many times shall I make you swear that you tell me nothing but the truth in the name of the Lord? Then he said, I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd. And the Lord said, These have no master. Let each return to his house in peace. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Did I not tell you he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil? Then Micaiah said, Therefore hear the Word of the Lord: I saw the Lord sitting on His throne, and all the host of Heaven standing on His right hand and His left. And the Lord said, Who will persuade Ahab king of Israel to go up, that he may fall at Ramoth Gilead? So one spoke in this manner, and another spoke in that manner. Then a spirit came forward and stood before the Lord, and said, I will persuade him. The Lord said to him, In what way? So he said, I will go out and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the Lord said, You shall persuade him and also prevail; go out and do so. 

Therefore look! The Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these prophets of yours, and the Lord has declared disaster against you.

2 Chr 18:28, So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth Gilead. And the king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself and go into battle; but you put on your robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself, and they went into battle. Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of the chariots who were with him, saying, Fight with no one small or great, but only with the king of Israel. So it was, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel! Therefore they surrounded him to attack; but Jehoshaphat cried out, and the Lord helped him, and God diverted them from him. For so it was, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him. Now a certain man drew a bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of his armor. So he said to the driver of his chariot, Turn around and take me out of the battle, for I am wounded. The battle increased that day, and the king of Israel propped himself up in his chariot facing the Syrians until evening; and about the time of sunset he died. Chapter 19, verse 1, Then Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned safely to his house in Jerusalem. And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to King Jehoshaphat, Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore the wrath of the Lord is upon you. Nevertheless good things are found in you, in that you have removed the wooden images from the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God. 

In 2 Chr 18:1, we read that Jehoshaphat joined affinity with Ahab. The word means, a relationship by marriage. In the Hebrew: …and by marriage he allied himself with Ahab. What was the marriage? Jehoshaphat’s son Jehoram married Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel, most likely to bring about an alliance between Judah and Israel. 1 Kings 22:44,  Also Jehoshaphat made peace with the king of Israel. 2 Chr 21:5, Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem. 

And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, just as the house of Ahab had done, for he had the daughter of Ahab as a wife; and he did evil in the sight of the Lord. If Jezebel stirred up Ahab to do evil, it is probable that Athaliah stirred up Jehoram to do evil as well. And when he became king, he killed all his brethren, the sons of Jehoshaphat, who were better than him.

2 Cor 6:14, Be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion has light with darkness? And what concord has Christ with Belial? or what part has he that believes with an infidel? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? for you are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be  separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, and will be a Father unto you, and you shall be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. Chapter 7, verse 1, Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

This was a great error on Jehoshaphat’s part: to seek alliance with Ahab the king of Israel; the most wicked of all the kings of Israel; a worshiper of Baal, not of the Lord God. He almost lost his life, and the resulting marriage of his son Jehoram to Athaliah, Ahab and Jezebel’s daughter, brought much evil upon the kingdom of Judah. She was as wicked as her mother Jezebel, and upon the death of her son, by the hand of Jehu, she arose and killed all the royal seed in Judah, and took over the throne and reigned in Judah for seven years, until Jehoiada the priest stood up against her and raised up Joash, the son of Ahaziah, her son, to be king, and he had her killed. So this alliance that Jehoshaphat made with Ahab had long lasting evil consequences.

So, we all need to examine our own lives, as believers in the Lord Jesus Christ: do we have any alliances with evil people?; people who hate the Lord and are involved in idolatry; people who practice sin in their lives? Ask the Lord to show you, and if so, you need to deal with them , as He leads you, and forsake every evil alliance. There are many people in the so-called Church these days, even preachers, who practice evil in their lives, and if you are allied with them, they will bring evil into your own life, which could result in great destruction.  The Apostle Paul said, in 1 Cor 5:9, I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. Yet I certainly did not mean with the sexually immoral people of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or idolaters, since then you would need to go out of the world. But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person. For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside? But those who are outside God judges. Therefore put away from yourselves the evil person. Paul was talking about people in the Church who call themselves a Christian, a brother or a sister, who practice evil; this includes preachers! We are supposed to put them away from among us. Of course we have to deal with people in the world who are wicked; the whole world lies in wickedness. That is totally different from entering into an alliance or covenant with them. Do not be unequally yoked together with an unbeliever, or with anyone who practices evil, for what communion has light with darkness? It’s the yoke!, or the communion with them that is wrong, and will bring evil and destruction to you, and very possibly to many other people. Should we help the ungodly, or love those who hate the Lord?

 Slavery

Thank you Heavenly Father; thank you for this day. We praise you; we bless your holy Name! Thank you Lord God, Amen. 

Today we’re going to talk about slavery. Let’s turn to Mat 7:12, Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.

1 Cor 7:20, Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. 

Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it. For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord's freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ's slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called. 1 Pet 2:18, Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh. For this is commendable, if because of conscience toward God one endures grief, suffering wrongfully. For what credit is it if, when you are beaten for your faults, you take it patiently? But when you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is commendable before God. For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: Who committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. Col 3:22, Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God. And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality. Chapter 4, verse 1, Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in Heaven. 

Ok, let’s go to Gen 24:1, Now Abraham was old, well advanced in age; and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things. So Abraham said to the oldest servant of his house, who ruled over all that he had, Please, put your hand under my thigh, and I will make you swear by the Lord, the God of Heaven and the God of the Earth, that you will not take a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell; but you shall go to my country and to my family, and take a wife for my son Isaac. Verse 9,  So the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master, and swore to him concerning this matter. Then the servant took ten of his master's camels and departed, for all his master's goods were in his hand. And he arose and went to Mesopotamia, to the city of Nahor. And he made his camels kneel down outside the city by a well of water at evening time, the time when women go out to draw water. Then he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, Please let down your pitcher that I may drink, and she says, Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink—let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master. And it happened, exactly as he prayed. Verse 18, So she said, Drink, my lord. Then she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him a drink. And when she had finished giving him a drink, she said, I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking. Verse 26, Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord, and he said, Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken His mercy and His truth toward my master. As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master's brethren. The man’s heart was toward his master Abraham, and he bowed down and worshipped God for leading him to the right woman. It does not say, but you can tell that this man was well taken care of by Abraham. He trusted him with all his goods, and to do this work, with the Lord’s help, to find a wife for his son Isaac. This man worshipped God; he had a right heart toward God and his master Abraham. Abraham was God’s servant.

We are servants of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and Master. He bought us with His own Blood and the sacrifice of His own flesh, through His love and the Father’s love for us. He loves us and He cares for us. We love Him because He first loved us. We love Him and we keep His commandments. Jesus said, If you love Me, keep My commandments. We are Jesus’ slaves; He bought us; He owns us. If we will not deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him, as He commanded; if we want to do, rather, our own will, and rebel against Him, we will not be spared from His judgment, unless we repent. He came as a servant to us: in Luke 22:27, Jesus said to His disciples, For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves. In John chapter 13, Jesus washed His disciples’ feet; in verse 12 Jesus said to them, Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Master and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you. Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them. 

Rom 6:16, Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness. For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness. What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. 

We read in Col 4:1, Masters, give your bondservants what is just and fair, knowing that you also have a Master in Heaven. If you are a Christian, and you have servants, you are commanded by God, your Master, to treat them fairly and justly; to do unto them as you would have them do unto you. You are commanded by your Master to love them and do them good as you have opportunity. As you obey God in this, He will bless you and your business. You can clearly see how He blessed Abraham, and his servants were blessed. Abraham’s oldest servant had charge over all his goods. When Boaz, the great grandfather of King David, came to his fields in the morning, he blessed his servants, and they blessed him. He was also very kind to Ruth, the daughter in law of Naomi, his relative, when she came to work in his fields. He was a blessed man of God.

The African slave trade, in Europe and America, in the 1700’s and 1800’s, was not so at all. Driven by greed and the lust for riches, the masters, even several of our American forefathers, badly mistreated the slaves they owned. Their living conditions and daily provisions were often cruelly lacking, yet they demanded of them consistent hard labor. Some were more compassionate than others, and some ended up opposing slavery and freeing their own slaves. This was an evil mindset and practice that was a major part of the American economy at that time, and it has brought much evil upon many people over the years, long after slavery was abolished in this country.

If you are a black person in this country, and your ancestors were slaves, I urge you to ask God for His grace to help you to forgive their masters who so cruelly abused them. Unforgiveness and bitter resentment are cruel masters and you need to be free from them and their effect on your life. Jesus said, Forgive and you shall be forgiven. He also said, If you won’t forgive, your Father in Heaven will not forgive you, and He will turn you over to the tormentors. I can truly understand, after learning how many slaves were treated, that it is hard to consider this. That’s why you need God’s mercy and grace to help you forgive those cruel masters. I read an account by John Newton, the author of Amazing Grace, who was a captain of a slave ship before he was converted to Christ, of the African slave trade, and it was truly horrific to learn how the slaves were treated. Also I was shocked to learn of how my white forefathers, the founders of our nation, treated their own slaves. So this was a great evil perpetrated against your people, and you must ask God to help you to forgive, so that you yourself can be freed from bitterness and unforgiveness that you may have in your heart. 

Everyone is a slave. Everyone has a master. Who is your master? If you are a Christian, you are bought with the precious Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, and you are not your own. You belong to Him. He is your Lord and Master, and you serve Him. John 8:31, Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My Word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. They answered Him, We are Abraham's descendants, and have never been in bondage to anyone. How can You say, You will be made free? Jesus answered them, Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.

 On Mount  Zion

Thank you Father; we thank you for this day. This is the day that you have made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you Father. Let’s turn to Psalm 48, verse 1, Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, the joy of the whole Earth, is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. God is in her palaces; He is known as her refuge. For behold, the kings assembled, they passed by together. They saw it, and so they marveled; they were troubled, they hastened away. Fear took hold of them there, and pain, as of a woman in birth pangs, as when You break the ships of Tarshish with an east wind. As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it forever. Selah We have thought, O God, on Your lovingkindness, in the midst of Your temple. According to Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the Earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness. Let Mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of Your judgments. Walk about Zion, and go all around her. Count her towers; mark well her bulwarks; consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following. For this is God, our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death. 

Today’s program is called, On Mount Zion. Let’s turn to Gen 22:1, Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him, Abraham! And he said, Here I am. Then He said, Take now your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you. So Abraham rose early in the morning and saddled his donkey, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son; and he split the wood for the burnt offering, and arose and went to the place of which God had told him. Then on the third day Abraham lifted his eyes and saw the place afar off. And Abraham said to his young men, Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you. So Abraham took the wood of the burnt offering and laid it on Isaac his son; and he took the fire in his hand, and a knife, and the two of them went together. But Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, My father! And he said, Here I am, my son. Then he said, Look, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for a burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering. So the two of them went together. Then they came to the place of which God had told him. And Abraham built an altar there and placed the wood in order; and he bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, upon the wood. And Abraham stretched out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the Angel of the Lord called to him from Heaven and said, Abraham, Abraham! So he said, Here I am. 

And He said, Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me. Then Abraham lifted his eyes and looked, and there behind him was a ram caught in a thicket by its horns. So Abraham went and took the ram, and offered it up for a burnt offering instead of his son. And Abraham called the name of the place, The-Lord-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, In the Mount of the Lord it shall be provided. Then the Angel of the Lord called to Abraham a second time out of Heaven, and said: By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son—blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the Earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice. So Abraham returned to his young men, and they rose and went together to Beersheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beersheba.

It all started on Mount Moriah, when God tested Abraham and told him to go to the mountains of Moriah and offer his son upon one of the mountains that He would tell him of: his only son whom he loved. God also offered His only Son, whom He loved, upon the same mountain, in the same place, a living sacrifice for us. And there He raised Him from the dead; there He raised us with Him. Let’s turn to Hosea 6:1, Come, and let us return to the Lord; for He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; on the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight-Abraham’s seed, through whom all the nations have been blessed. That is the Gospel; that is where it began and was fulfilled in Jesus. Abraham said, My son, God will provide Himself a lamb. John the Baptist said, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. It all happened on Mount Zion. 

Mount Moriah extends from the junction of the Kidron and Hinnom valleys to the south all the way to Calvary to the north. The Temple Mount is at a height of approximately 2,430 feet. Calvary was originally at 2,549 feet before it was excavated for stone. The stone at Calvary was found to be too soft, so they left off the quarrying, and left the soft stone face, where the face of a skull was formed through natural erosion. Then it was called Golgotha, which means the place of a skull. It is most likely that Abraham offered Isaac at that location, as it was the highest point on Mount Moriah. The actual geological Mount Zion is another mountain just to the west of Mount Moriah. However, Jerusalem and Mount Moriah are often referred to in scripture as Mount Zion. Psalm 48 says,  The Lord is great and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole Earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. Jerusalem is the city of our Great King Jesus Christ. He will be establishing His throne in Jerusalem, and He will reign over all the Earth for a thousand years, until all His enemies are put under His feet. Isa 24:23, Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the Lord of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. 

The Temple Mount is located where King David purchased the threshing floor of Ornan

to offer a sacrifice at the Word of the Lord, spoken to him by Gad the prophet, to appease the wrath of the Lord which was being executed against Jerusalem. When the Lord answered by fire and consumed his sacrifice, David said, This is the house of the Lord God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel. And he began to prepare for the construction of the first Temple. It is the place where the first and second Temples were constructed. This was most likely at a lower elevation than the sacrifice of Isaac and the prophecy of Jesus’ sacrifice. With the Temple was the first covenant, the Law of Moses, a shadow of things to come. Heb 10:1, For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 

For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you had no pleasure. Then I said, Behold I come-in the volume of the Book it is written of Me-to do your will, O God. Previously saying, Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin you did not desire, nor had pleasure in them, which are offered according to the Law, then He said, Behold, I come to do your will O God. He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the Body of Jesus Christ once for all.

My wife Darlene and I traveled to Israel in 2015; we were there upon the mountains of Zion. When we saw Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives for the first time, our hearts were greatly moved. This is the city of our Great King. This is the place, Mount Zion, where God worked His great salvation through His beloved Son Jesus, and where He will some day reign over all the Earth in His glory. When we were at Calvary, our British guide preached to all of us the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was a great blessing. He also said, at that time, that the geological formation of Mount Moriah extends from south of Jerusalem, all the way to Calvary or Golgotha. There were many blessings on that trip to Israel, but the greatest blessing for me was being there in Jerusalem, the place where so much has taken place, and so much will soon be taking place, as prophesied in the Psalms and in the Prophets and in the Apostles’ doctrine, the New Testament.  

Psalm 48, verse 1, Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole Earth, is Mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King. 

Prophecy:

I am the God of all flesh; I have chosen Mount Zion; it is the place where I dwell, says the Lord. It is the place where My Son was sacrificed for your sins. All of you who are listening to My servant Rob this day: turn to Me with all your heart; hearken unto My Words, for I love you, and that’s why I gave My Son for you. Turn to Me, and you shall be saved, says the Lord.

The Father Loves The Son

Thank you Father in Heaven; thank you Lord Jesus. We give you praise and thanksgiving Father. This is the day that you have made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Thank you Father. I pray that you would give us ears to hear what your Holy Spirit is saying, and that you would open up our hearts to receive it Father, by your Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord. 

Today’s program is called, The Father loves the Son. John 3:1, There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him. Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, (born from above), he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (notice: being born again is being born from above and being born of the Spirit.) Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again. The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said to Him, How can these things be? Jesus answered and said to him, Are you a teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness. If I have told you earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? No one has ascended to Heaven but He who came down from Heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in Heaven. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God. Down to verse 34, John the Baptist was speaking, and he said, For He whom God has sent speaks the Words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

Let’s go to John 10:11, Jesus said, I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. And other sheep I have which are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock and one shepherd. Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.

John 15:8, By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples. As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.

Let’s go to John 17:1, Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to Heaven, and said: Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. Verse 20, I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them. 

We desperately need a revelation of how much the Father loves His Son, that we may understand how much He loves us; that He would send Him into this evil world to save us by the sacrifice of Himself upon the Cross. (Verse 26, And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them). And that as much as He loved Him, that He would separate Himself from Him when He became sin for us on the Cross, when all our sins were laid upon Jesus, that Jesus, in all the pain and torment that He was suffering, might experience the rejection, not only of men: despised and rejected of men, but the rejection of God, His Father, and separation from Him and all His goodness, because of sin, for us! Jesus bore our rejection, that we might be accepted in Him! 

Ps 22:1, My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, and from the words of My groaning? O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; and in the night season, and am not silent. But You are holy, enthroned in the praises of Israel. Our fathers trusted in You; they trusted, and You delivered them. They cried to You, and were delivered; they trusted in You, and were not ashamed. But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people. All those who see Me ridicule Me; they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying, He trusted in the Lord, let Him rescue Him; let Him deliver Him, since He delights in Him! By the way, that was the Devil speaking through men to mock how much the Father loves Jesus; to put down the Father’s love for Jesus. But he didn’t succeed. 

Eph 1:3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. Because Jesus went through all of this, and sacrificed His own body and Blood upon that Cross, to pay the ransom for our sins, and to bear our rejection, when we come to Him and confess our sins and believe that He died for us and rose again from the dead, and receive Him into our hearts, God sends the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying, Abba, Father, and we are born from above; we become sons and daughters of God in Him: He in us and we in Him, and we are accepted of the Father in Him. And the love that the Father has for His Son, He gives to us. 

When we understand how much the Father loves His Son, and that He would give Him

to be sacrificed upon the Cross for us: a people dead in trespasses and sins, that He might save us from our sins and bring us into fellowship with Him, and give us eternal life with Him in His glorious Kingdom, shall we not love Him? Shall we not come to Him and give Him all of our heart, to keep His ways unto death? John 16:27, for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, Jesus said, and have believed that I came forth from God. When we understand how much the Father loves His Son, and that He loves us so much that He would send Him to save us from our sins, and all that Jesus went through to accomplish that, we should understand why the Father’s wrath would be upon those who reject His Son and His sacrifice for them, especially upon those who have known Him and then turned away from Him and forsook Him. John 3:36, He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

Believe the love that God the Father has for His Son, and believe the love that God has for you, that He would send Him to suffer so much for you, that you might be saved from all the things that would destroy you, and that you might become His son or His daughter and inherit eternal life in Him.
