Repent and Believe the Gospel!
REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL!
Jesus said,"The time is fullfilled and the Kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe the Gospel" The Gospel is that the Word of God became a man; Jesus, the only begotten of the Father, the Son of God, full of grace and truth, and lived in this world with every temptation that you and I face, and yet He never sinned and He gave himself to die on the cross and shed His blood for our sins. God made Him who knew no sin to become sin on our behalf that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. He was buried in a tomb, and on the third day the Father raised Him from the dead. He was seen of above 500 witnesses after He arose and He ascended to the right hand of the Father in heaven. He is there right now, alive, making intercession on our behalf to the Father. He is coming again with all the saints and all the angels in great power and glory and all who live and believe in him will be united with him and thus will we ever be with the Lord. I urge you to seek Him now, during this time while the long suffering of God is waiting, for the Day of the Lord is coming soon. He loves you and He will save you to the utter most if you will put your trust in Him.Sunday, May 17, 2020
Many people think this way: Jesus was the Son of God, and because He was God He was well able to not sin, walk on water, etc. NOT SO!! He was and is surely God, but he became a man, and He was tempted in His flesh just as we are, and it was a great conflict and travail that He endured to overcome the world, sin,and the devil. Remember it says that angels came and ministered to Him after He went through the trials in the wilderness, fasting for 40 days, tempted of the Devil. When the Devil was talking to Him it was not just an exchange of words, it was a battle. The devil was moving in the power of darkness and speaking words with seducing spirits, and Jesus overcame Him by continuing to rely on and speak the written Word of God to him with the power of the Holy Spirit. After it was over He needed to be comforted and strengthened by those angels of God. He continued walking in the power of the Spirit , preaching the Gospel and working miracles, and He was continuing to be tempted and attacked by the powers of darkness and wicked men. The ulitimate travail came on the cross, where He loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. In Isaiah it says that the Father saw the travail of His soul and was satisfied. No, Jesus labored and travailed for us because of His great love for the Father and for us. Here in is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation (satisfying agent) for our sins. And, because He humbled himself unto the brutal death of the cross, God hath highly exhalted Him, and given Him a name which is above EVERY NAME, that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, in heaven , on the earth, and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father! Halleluia!!
