Yield to God !
Rom 4:4-8, Now to him who works, the wages
are not counted as grace but as debt. But to him who does not work but
believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for
righteousness, just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to
whom God imputes righteousness apart from works: "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHOSE LAWLESS DEEDS ARE FORGIVEN, AND WHOSE
SINS ARE COVERED; BLESSED IS THE MAN TO WHOM THE LORD SHALL NOT IMPUTE
SIN." These verses talk about
Psalm 32: …Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin…Sin is the
transgression of the Law. When a person transgresses the Law they sin. If you
read on in Psalm 32; verses 3-5, When I kept silent, my bones grew old Through my groaning all the day
long. For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality was
turned into the drought of summer. Selah I acknowledged my sin to You, And
my iniquity I have not hidden. I said, "I will confess my transgressions
to the LORD," And You forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah; you see that
David confessed his sin. He turned from it, and then it was not
imputed to him; the grace of God. If a person is in sin they need to repent and
confess their sin to receive the grace and forgiveness of God through Jesus’
sacrifice. Grace does not cover unconfessed sin.
Rom 6:1-14, What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may
abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?
Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were
baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism
into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have
been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing
this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be
done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin. For he who has
died has been freed from sin. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that
we shall also live with Him, knowing that Christ, having been raised from
the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin
once for all; but the life
that He lives, He lives to God. Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be
dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore
do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its
lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but
present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness
to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under
law but under grace. ALIVE UNTO GOD!!! To serve God! Then we need to be baptized
in the Holy Spirit: receive the Holy Spirit and yield to God. Yield to the Holy
Spirit every day and let Him lead us in all things pleasing to the Father. YIELD
TO GOD!!!
1Jn 3:1-8, Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we
should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because
it did not know Him. Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not
yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we
shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has
this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Whoever commits sin
also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. And you know that He was
manifested to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin. Whoever
abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known
Him. Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices
righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the
devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of
God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. If we love God we
will be thankful for Jesus’ sacrifice, we will hate sin, we will
seek to be purified, seek to please Him, and through His grace we will
overcome! If we want to continue in sin, we are of the devil and we don’t love
God, and we are not under grace. Heb 10:26&27, For if we sin willfully after
we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a
sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and
fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.
Mat 5:17, "Do
not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to
destroy but to fulfill. The Law is not abolished. It is done away in
Christ: walking in Him, obeying Him,
being led by the Holy Spirit, yielding to the Holy Spirit. Rom 8:4…the righteousness
of the Law is fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the
Spirit. Rom 5:21…grace reins through righteousness. If you are in sin, you are
not in righteousness. Rom 7:4-6, Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through
the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to
Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.
This is how we walk as a Christian: not
doing our own will or relying on our own understanding; our minds are renewed
in Christ and we learn to yield unto God to be led by His Spirit to do His
will. YIELD TO GOD!!! Rom 12:1&2, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of
God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And
do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your
mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Yield to God to do His will;
sacrifice your own will and your own desires, that you may prove what is that
good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God. Jesus said in Mat 7:21-23, "Not
everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but
he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that
day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your
name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will declare to
them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!'
