He That Does Righteousness

1Jn 3:7&8 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that does righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committs sin is of the devil; for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Rom 6:14-18 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace.
What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
Know you not, that to whom you yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants you are to whom you obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
But God be thanked, that you were the servants of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Being then made free from sin, you became the servants of righteousness. Yes you are righteous because of Jesus' obedience if you repent and believe the Gospel. Because you believe what he did on the cross it is imputed to you for righteousness. If you believe that you were baptised into His death, that you are indeed dead unto sin and alive unto righteousness. If you, when you sin, confess your sin He is faithfull to forgive you and cleanse you and you walk on in faith and obedience. Repenting and believing the Gospel, baptized in water, having received the gift of the Holy Spirit, being led by the Holy Spirit every day to do the will of the Father, thus you are doing righteousness. To say that your righteousness has nothing to do with your obedience and only to do with Jesus obedience is a lie, and the Holy Spirit is no lie. Jesus said in Matt 7, Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that does the will of my Father. He that does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
