The Hand Of The Lord
Greetings in the name of Jesus. This is Rob Haymes. This program is called 15 Minutes With Jesus. Today we're going to talk about The Hand Of The Lord. Let's turn to Isaiah 5:20-25, Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. Verse 25,...for all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still. The hand of the Lord is stretched out still, ladies and gentlemen. This plague, which we call the Corona Virus, was given to us by God. When this virus was beginning, back in April, my wife and I were in the hospital, and we were praying very much because of the situation. One morning I received a tongue and interpretation from the Lord. The Lord told me that He put this plague in the Earth, and he was watching His people, to see if we would humble ourselves and pray and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways. That's what He spoke to me. Of course, if we go to those scriptures: 2 Chron 7:13& 14, If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. So, it is upon us that call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, it is upon us to humble ourselves and pray, and turn from our wicked ways, and seek His face, and then He will hear from heaven. But, if we will not do that, He will not hear from Heaven, and He will not heal our land. It's up to us. The Lord also told me, later on, I was praying, and I was asking the Lord, during the time when the virus was really going strong, in America, and around the world, in Europe, I was asking Him when this would end, and the Lord told me, This plague will continue until I lift my hand. No one can stay His hand.
Joshua chapter 4 talks about the time when the children of Israel crossed over Jordan to go into the land and take possession of it. When they had finished crossing the river, they placed twelve stones as a memorial; Jos 4:20-24, And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal. And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever. Consider those miracles people, look in the scriptures. Look in Exodus. Look here in Joshua, and look at what the Lord did, just with those two miracles. Consider the might of those miracles. Consider the hand of the Lord, that it is mighty, that you might fear the Lord your God forever. 1Sa 12:14&15, If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God: But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers. We are seeing the hand of the Lord against us here in America. There are many things happening, this plague, the fires in California, Oregon, and Washington, we just had a hurricane in Louisiana. The hand of the Lord is against us. He is not totally destroying us, which He could do in a moment. Believe me, if God wanted to destroy us, He could do it in a moment. In a second He could destroy the entire human race. That is not His purpose. He loves us so much that He gave His only Son Jesus Christ; He sent Him here to Earth to live as a man, to suffer and die for our sins, and to pay for our sins with His own sinless life, and His own shed Blood. That's how much He loves us. He proved how much He loves us. But if we will snub our noses at Him and turn our back on Him, then the hand of the Lord shall be upon us. 1Sa 12:20-25, And Samuel said unto the people, Fear not: ye have done all this wickedness: yet turn not aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart; And turn ye not aside: for then should ye go after vain things, which cannot profit nor deliver; for they are vain. For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake: because it hath pleased the LORD to make you his people. We're talking to God's people. Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way: Only fear the LORD, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you. But if ye shall still do wickedly, ye shall be consumed, both ye and your king.
Please consider that these are the words that the Holy Spirit is leading me to speak to you this morning.
Daniel, chapter 4; Many of you are familiar with the story of King Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel, where the Lord turned him into a beast, till seven times passed over him, he was a beast. He ate grass. I don't have time to go into that whole story, but at the end of those days: Dan 4:34-37, And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. Make no mistake, those of you that are reading this, and you are walking in your pride, and you think you are something, don't forget these words: Those that walk in pride, He is able to abase. The best thing you could do is what Daniel said to King Nebuchadnezzar, after he interpreted his dream to him, in verse 27, he said these words: Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.
Isa 14:26&27, This is the purpose that is purposed upon the whole earth: and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the nations. For the LORD of hosts hath purposed, and who shall disannul it? and his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
Isa 66:1&2, Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor (humble) and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word. Not only do we need to believe and consider the words of the Lord, the words of the Living God given by His Spirit, but we need to tremble at His Word, we need to fear the Lord at this hour, and we need to turn to Him with all our heart, and repent of our evil doings. We are so blind and human centered in our thinking. We no longer fear God, nor consider that all things, including the entire Earth and all the Universe are under His hand, and He does what He wills in the kingdom of men. We act as though He is merely the creation of some religious people of the past, and we have turned our back on Him, who is the fountain of life, from whom all blessings flow, by whom all things consist; He is our Creator, He is our Savior, He is our Provider, He is our healer, He is our Deliverer, and our true Friend!, who loved us so much, that He became a man, as we are, and lived among us, so that He might be tempted in every way as we are, and yet never yield to the temptations. He overcame the Devil, and all sin and unrighteousness, as He offered Himself to die for our sins on the cross, so that we might be forgiven. He rose from the dead, that we might enter into eternal life with God!, into fellowship with Him and His Father. (1John 1:3) His name is Jesus, and because He humbled Himself unto the death of the cross, the Father has highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, in Heaven, on the Earth, and under the Earth, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father. Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus, that though He was in the form of God, He humbled Himself! That's what we need to do! We need to humble ourselves before the living God! No one can stay His hand! We need to cry out to Him for mercy! We need to turn from our evil ways, and call upon the Living God, that He might have mercy!
Dan 9:4-8, This is Daniel's prayer of repentance: And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments; We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments: Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land. O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, and we could add: and to all America, and the World.
Tongue and interpretation given by the Holy Spirit, please see 1 Corinthians, 12:7-11;
The interpretation:
I am the God of all of you. I am the one who created you. I am the one who died for you, who loves you with an everlasting love. This day I plead with you through my servant, that you might turn from your iniquities, and seek my face. For my hand is stretched out still, yet my ear is open to your prayers, if you will come humbly before me and seek my face, as those did in days of old, when I hearkened to their prayers, and I turned and relented of the evil that I was about to bring upon nations and cities to destroy them. If you too will hearken and turn to Me and seek my face in this hour, which is a crucial hour for your nation; if you will hearken to Me and turn to Me with all your heart, I will hear from Heaven and I will heal your land, says the Lord.
