Love One Another
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son to be the atonement for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4:7-11
As we come to the end of this year, is there someone in your
family or among your relationships that has hurt you or disappointed you in the
past, or present? Consider how much God has loved you and forgiven you, and
give them the gift of your forgiveness and your love. Release them from your
judgement against them, that God may release you from His judgement against
you. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good! If you feel like
it's too hard to forgive that person, humble yourself before God in prayer and
ask Him to help you. He will. It is His will for us to love one another and
forgive one another.
